Why do I get sick on the day or the next day of Buddhist classes almost every week? :smiling_face_with_tear:

The concept of Buddhist karmic obstacles is based on the concept of karma extending across lifetimes. In our past lives, we have committed many wrongdoings (through the 3 poisons - greed, anger, ignorance). These wrongdoings, called karmic obstacles will manifest as sickness or reasons that result in us not able to attend to our Dharma lessons.

However, now that we’ve encountered the teachings, whether it’s minor illnesses or other adversities that hinder our progress, we must remain steadfast in planting more virtuous causes to gain merits to overcome these obstacles. By practising OMAK, we can then turn those negative scenarios and thoughts into fertile soil in sowing our virtuous intentions and acts. Over time, we will grow our faith and eliminate all karmic obstacles.
